Weekly Arabic Table

Want to practice your Arabic?

Join us every week this semester in the evening in Trumbull Dining Hall for our weekly

Arabic table. Whether you’re a beginner or fluent, come chat with other Arabic speakers,

practice MSA or dialects, and enjoy some conversation. All levels are welcome! We look forward to seeing you there!

Ramadan Schedule for Arabic Table

To accommodate students and TAs observing Ramadan, the Arabic Table meetings during the month will be held in a common room near the Trumbull Dining Hall (instead of inside the dining hall). Meetings will also be shortened (less than one hour).

These adjustments will be in place for the following meetings:

Learning the beautiful and expressive sounds of Egyptian Arabic.
Exploring the rich tapestry of Egyptian culture through language, music, and food.
Connecting with other students who share a passion for this unique language and culture.

Whether you’re a complete beginner or have some prior experience, we welcome all levels. All are welcome!

Heritage Meets Heritage Celebration

Join us for an afternoon of fun and cultural exchange! Connect with fellow students who speak a heritage language, and enjoy games, prizes, and delicious snacks from diverse cultures. This event fosters diversity and inclusion while celebrating the richness of heritage languages at Yale University. All are welcome! Register here.

This event is organized by the following language programs (alphabetically): Arabic, Chinese, Hebrew, Greek (Modern), Hindi, Korean, Russian, Spanish, and Zulu.
